About

Who We Are

FFMI Tracker was created by a web developer and SEO student who wanted to build something genuinely useful for people trying to understand their body composition. The person behind this site is not a doctor, certified personal trainer, or fitness specialist.

This tool was built because most people tracking their fitness rely only on the scale, which does not tell the full story. The Fat-Free Mass Index gives a much clearer picture of actual muscle development and the goal was to make that calculation simple, free, and accessible for everyone.

About This Tool

The FFMI Calculator on this site is built using the formula and reference ranges from the original peer reviewed research study by Kouri, Pope, Katz, and Oliva published in the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine (1995). This is the same foundational research that established the natural FFMI ceiling of approximately 25 for male athletes.

The tool supports both metric and imperial measurements, includes normalized FFMI calculation, and provides separate score ranges for men and women. All formulas have been carefully implemented and tested to produce reliable results.

Please note that your result is an estimate. Body fat percentage inputs and personal measurement differences can affect the accuracy of the final score. Use it as a practical reference and track it over time rather than treating any single result as definitive.

Why This Website Exists

Most fitness tools either require a paid subscription, are cluttered with ads, or are too technical for beginners to use comfortably. FFMI Tracker was built to be completely free, clean, and easy to understand for anyone regardless of their fitness background.

Whether you are just starting your fitness journey or have been training for years, this tool is designed to give you a clear and instant picture of your lean muscle level so you can make more informed decisions about your training and nutrition.
